WHAT FORMATS OF PRINTS ARE AVAILABLE

Unless otherwise stated all items are for supply of the print only and exclude any mounting or framing. I will be aiming to offer framed prints, canvases etc over time.

WHAT IS AN OPEN EDITION

My open edition prints have no set number of prints, therefore they are always available to purchase in a variety of sizes.

This makes open edition prints a great affordable way to get some new wall art or a perfect gift option.

There is no compromise on the quality of the Open Edition Prints, they are printed on Professional Fuji 570 DPII Pro Lustre Paper using a photographic C-Type printing process. The prints can last up to 50 years if displayed away from direct sunlight. C-Type prints on this silver halide paper provide the widest colour range and density of blacks and colours.

Each open edition print is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity and well packaged wrapped within paper sleeve and then cardboard box of tube depending on it's size.

WHAT IS A LIMITED OR SPECIAL EDITION

A limited edition print will only be printed in a set size & format a specific number of times. Once they have sold no more will be produced.

I consider my Limited Editions to be equivalent of an artisits original print. They offer a way to form a personal link with the buyer who may have a special bond with a particular photograph and wants a collectable one off print to enjoy.

Limited Editions are produced on the highest quality fine art textured papers which give a different feel to the image. Utilising a fine art paper such as Hahnemuhle Photo Rag and giclee printing adds a new quality to the printed surface. With a completely matt finish the prints sit beautifully in well lit environments viewable from all angles.

Limited Editions are hand signed by me, supplied with numbered Certificates of Authenticity and embossed.

HOW TO GET MY PRINT FRAMED?

Generally I recommend getting your print framed locally, primarily because this saves a lot of postage cost and risk of damage in transit for large framed items.

My standard prints sizes have been carefully selected to match in with off the shelf frames from retailers to save hassle. Bespoke print sizes are available by request.

For the highest quality finish and for bespoke framing to match your decor I recommend visiting a local framers who can show you different moutings and frame colours.

For a more cost effective option you can get frames from Ikea, The Range, Hobby Craft and online retailers such as Easy Frame, and Frith Framing.

WHAT SIZE PRINT SHOULD I PURCHASE

Ultimately it depends on how to plan to display the print. Think about how you want to frame the print, either bespoke framing in which case any size can be made or certain sizes of print can be mounted within off the shelf frames from retailers such as Ikea, The Range, Hobby Craft etc.

12"x8" Prints make for great gifts and fit in many off the shelf frames. These prints are large enough to notice on the wall but don't dominate a space so if purchasing for someone else you aren't likely to purchase a print which doesn't fit there decor etc.

16"x12" Prints are the most common size purchased and fit a wide number of off the shelf frames either with or without a mount. This size provides a little more of a focal point within a room without dominating.

28"x20" Prints are another very common size which suit off the shelf frames. There large prints make a great feature in most size rooms.

For larger prints framing can be costly and needs to be considered. It may be a better option to purchase a canvas or foam mounted print which can be hung directly to the wall without a frame. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Remember the size of print can also be driven by the viewing distance. Large prints aren't designed to be viewed up close but from a few meters back and to compliment the space they occupy.

A quick guide to aspect ratios and print sizes. Sometimes a specific print simply won't suit a given size as the ratio will mean cropping part of the image.
